Working with your staff to bring about effective organizational changes. This includes departmental reviews, restructurings, team building and facilitation of other change initiatives. All can be done with the intent of building or maintaining positive working relationships.
This need not be difficult or complicated. Training can be provided in basic leadership skills with the result being that organizational managers become better leaders for their staff.
Helping get the most out of your leaders. Do you have new managers that need additional guidance? Established managers that may benefit from some one on one initiatives? Coaching provided can be to assist with a variety of performance management issues and/or succession planning.
Training and Development
Programs that help with the training needs of your staff from basic HR management skills to labour relations to ethics and conflict management. Training needs can easily be determined and delivered.
Conflict management begins with the creation of a respectful work environment. It also demands that staff, managers and union leadership understand that conflicts are a natural part of human interactions and can be positive. However, negative conflict cannot be ignored. Investigations of complaints of harassment, discrimination or poisoned work environments are sometimes best performed by a neutral, external provider.
General HR Consulting
Advice and assistance with most HR functions including job descriptions, policy manuals, HR department organization, quality of working life initiatives etc. Need access to regular HR advice without the need for full time HR staff? Consider a monthly retainer.
